Ingredients

Broth Base

  • 2 scoops (36g) Simply Halal Beef Bone Broth (reconstituted in 2 cups hot water as base)

Main Ingredients

  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Roast chopped carrot, celery, and onion for 20 minutes.
  • Blend roasted vegetables with reconstituted broth until smooth.
  • In a pan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute to make roux.
  • Gradually whisk in blended broth mixture; simmer until thickened (5 minutes). Season with black pepper. Serve over meat or potatoes.
